Happy New Year everyone and like always a new edition of Retro Corner is available. On this edition, we take a look at a retro Star Wars title for the N64 that's based on a book called Shadows of the Empire. Back in 1996, the Nintendo 64 along with Mario 64, Killer Instinct Gold and other titles got released just in time for the holiday season. During the launch window was a Star Wars game called Shadows of the Empire that took place between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Of course, this was a time where Star Wars was something special before the dark times before the Mouse Empire took over. The story is about a mercenary called Dash Rendar, who helps the Rebel against the Empire during their battles. However, he learns of a conspiracy in the Empire from an alien prince and crime leader of the Black Sun known as Xizor. The alien prince plans to oust Darth Vader from his imperial command and has to kill Luke Skywalker so he can take his place at the Emperor's side. Aside Mario 64, Shadows showcased the potential a realistic adventure game in 3D had during the time.

A new edition of Pony Central is up as I take a look at the fourth Equestria Girls film. The location of the Everfree Forest was a perfect setting for the story since it wasn't a high school theme for once. After the students of CHS raised enough funds so they can attend Camp Everfree, everything doesn't seem so ordinary upon arriving. A tale by Timber Spruce (one of the counselors) tells of a forest spirit named Gaia Everfree, who was said to have haunted the grounds since his and Gloriosa Daisy's ancestors settled in the area. Suddenly, strange things start happening around the camp site causing the girls to think something magical was causing them to have magic bursts of newfound powers. So what mystery and high jinks await the HuMane Seven this time?
My Little Pony: Legend of the Everfree Review A new edition of Retro Corner is up as check out the great grandfather of the FPS genre called Castle Wolfenstein 3D for the PC. Its a game that single handedly created a new genre in the early 90s and would also jump start the First Person Shooter genre into it's popularity. The game stars an agent of United States Office of Secret Action (OSA) named William "BJ" Blazkowicz who goes through missions either escaping or infiltrating Nazi bases during World War II. So how has Castle Wolfenstein aged since 1992? Come to the review and find out...
Castle Wolfenstein 3D Review Another edition of Retro Corner has been posted as I take a break from Doom and check out an old horror game known as Alone in the Dark. Before there was Amnesia, Resident Evil and Silent Hill, this game is where the horror puzzle solving adventure started it all. The story takes place at a mansion called Derceto, an old place that belong to Jeremy Hartwood before he committed suicide for unknown reasons. His niece Emily Hartwood goes to the mansion to find out what truly happened. While a private investigator called Edward Carnby was giving a case by a banker to find out the mystery behind Derceto. So how well has Alone in the Dark aged in the last 25 years? Come to the review to find out...
Alone in the Dark Review A new review from Retro Corner is up as I check out the fourth entry in the series known as Doom 64 for N64. This was among the first FPSs to hit the N64 in 1997 which we all know was the year of Golden Eye. Doom 64 wasn't a port of Doom II or Final Doom like it was for the Original on Super NES. It was an exclusive game developed in the Doom Engine to work around the N64's hardware. So how does a game developed from the ground up on the N64 holds up to other FPSs during that time? Check out the review...
Doom 64 (N64) Review A new review from Horror Gaming is up as I take a look at a Pokemon Creepypasta once again. The story is about a man who wanted to find another used copy of Gold Version. To his luck he manages to find one in his grandmother's basement because she used to collect Pokemon related items for him when he was younger. This is obvious one of the few times a Pokemon Creepypasta isn't about the first gen games that so many writers always stick to. However, will this be the same experience he always remembered? Or something that should have remained in his grandmother's basement? Come on in to find out...
Pokemon Tarnished Gold Creepypasta Review A new edition of Retro Corner is available and this time I will be reviewing the Super NES port of Doom. This shooter revolutionized the industry by taking the FPS genre to the next level and would help pave the way for future games such as Quake and Perfect Dark. However, during the mid 90's, Id ported the hell out of Doom to nearly every console like the Sega 32X and Playstation One. One of those ports was the Super NES and thanks to a custom game engine with the Super FX 2 Chip diffidently helped run the game.
Doom (Super NES) Review A new edition of Horror Gaming is available as I take a look at a Zelda Creepypasta about the infamous Zelda 64 Beta. The story is about a guy finding an obscure Zelda N64 cartridge containing the beta of Ocarina of Time. Will this be a rare experience or something Nintendo wanted to keep hidden forever? Come in to find out...
Zelda 64 Beta Review A new edition of Horror Gaming is up and the story has guy retell a story from his childhood of glitched Pokemon. This glitch wasn't the infamous MissingNo but an unlikely one called Glitchlett which as you guess was a glitched Diglett. What is so creepy about a glitched Diglett that has guy want tell it so much? Well come on in to find out...
