Here’s the thing about my walk-throughs and I go by a number and letter square system for base default quests. On the left of the map is squares A starting from the top to H at the bottom. On top is 1 from the left to 2-16 going to the right. An example is the starting point when you boot the game up and this would be H-8. The difference between the previous quests and the 3rd is the fact there are sixteen -20 caves. For the 30 rupees, the number of locations is almost the same as the 2nd, but the difference is half of them are inaccessible at first. However, you can still grind to level 2 status before entering the first stage but it's not going be easy. Collecting Rupees for the Blue Candle and bombs The first thing you want to do is go around the easy parts killing enemies to collect rupees and bombs. Between killing enemies and collecting dropped rupees, head to the beach front at the bottom right of the map. On screen H-13, bomb the eight square heading right from the left entrance. Grab the 10 rupees and move right two screens over. On H-15, bomb the center wall at the edge of the boarder on the right to get 30 rupees. Head to the woods up north and on D-14 near the top entrance leading out, push the left armos and enter the stairs to get 10 rupees. Leave the woods through the top and go to A-15 to bomb the corner wall pass the stairs to get another 10. There is one more 10 to get and it’s on A-13 where a set of armos statues stand guard. Activate the top center right one and grab a pair of 10. You should have between 90 to 120 rupees so F6 and head over to the shop closet to the starting point at G-7 and buy a blue candle. Obtaining the White Sword and Six Hearts Now we move to obtaining the white sword and unlike the second quest, here we can get the first three heart containers at the start. The first one is in the Lost Woods on F-4 and burn the center left bottom bush to have four hearts. The next area is the most difficult part as it’s both the Graveyard and Death Mountain areas. Follow the left path out of the Lost Woods and head north to the entrance to the Graveyard on F-1. Kill all the orange lynels and bomb the fifth square from the left to obtain the power bracelet. Getting this will make it easier to travel without resorting to the F6 button. Navigate the best you can through this area and while on Death Mountain go ahead and bomb the wall on D-6 to collect the 10 rupees. The second heart piece is all the way up the mountain on A-8. Take out the lone orange lynel and bomb the center wall near the border screen. The third heart isn’t required at the moment since now you have enough health to retrieve the white sword. However, there is more than a heart piece to get because in the same area is also 30 rupees. If you are feeling lucky then head over to B-1 to push the lone center block to get your health increase by six hearts. Be careful as this part of the map has blue lynels and their sword beams can take Link out easily if you are not cautious. Then on B-2 bomb the wall near the stairs on the right to collect another 30 rupees. With three heart increases, F6 since Link is in No Man’s Land, go to D-13 where Level 2 use to be from the first quest. Bomb the center wall to get the white sword. Buying the Blue Ring The last thing we need to do is grind to 250 rupees to get the blue ring and at the moment you should have 110 to 130 rupees. Now that we have the blue candle it’s time to start burning some bushes for the 10s and 30s rupees. Before using the candle head to D-5 and push the top center armos that use to have the blue ring shop and grab the 10. Head to G-7 and push the center rock aligned with the bridge to open a passage at the bottom to get a 30. Go back to the Lost Woods on F-2 and burn the top leftist bush for a 10. Move to F-7 and burn the leftist bottom bush to get another 10 and do the same thing on G-9 on a center lone scrub for one more. Now on the next screen to the right at G-10, there is a bush aligned with the edge of the lake. Burn the eighth bush that is aligned with water’s edge at the bottom, and you should get a 30. Go to F-11 and burn the lower bush in the center to get another 10. The other 30s you can’t get until obtaining the flute and the lone one located near the waterfall at B-10 is inaccessible until Level 6. By now between killing enemies and getting these hidden rupees should have your amount at 210 to 230 rupees. All you need to do is continue grinding to 250 and once reaching that amount, head to the waterfall on B-11. Enter it and buy the blue ring which should increase your chances in the later levels. If you want, you can grind for rupees to get the Magic Shield however, the first two dungeons shouldn’t give you a problem. Try to buy it either after beating these two levels or in-between since you should be able to collect enough to get it cheap for 90 rupees. As for the 100 rupees in Spectacle Rock on A-6, I would save that for later. That’s considering by the third dungeon the game will throw a -heart/-100 rupees room at you. The same goes for the rest of 30s as its best to save those for the later levels. After dungeon 3 those rooms will appear in each one here on out.
