Welcome to a new edition of Horror gaming, and the worst gaming Creepypasta has happened again regarding the plumber. Remember when I said the greatest thing about MaRIo II is that there wasn’t a third story written? Well, it turns out the author SupremeKai4 did in fact produce a third story. Out of all the gaming CPs this is the one to get another sequel written. It is Sonic.EXE 2 all over again where another story wasn’t needed considering how bad the first one was. There is no point in reiterating how bad the MaRIo series truly is when we already cover the first two in 2018. Unfortunately, the first two CPs were uploaded again on Geosheas Lost Episodes Wikia site—That is in spite of the fact these campfire tales got deleted years ago on Creepypasta.com. Now, what family member gets involved with another MaRIo game this time? The theme is about a female friend of the characters from the previous plot visits the older sibling who was committed to an asylum. The older sibling vaguely tells the friend to play Mario 3 on the NES to discover why things went wrong for her. Can the third CP for once tie in all the loose ends and redeem the series? The story begins where the female friend visits Moron #83 at the mental hospital. The CP never explained where or when #83 went insane but it is implied from playing a variant of Super Mario Bros 3. The author continues to throw in supernatural elements again without properly explaining why these copies were haunted. After #83 vaguely mentions playing MaRIo III at her apartment, the friend immediately heads over there to find answers. The next scene did describe perfectly how the apartment looked as everything was nearly thrown around. Now, the only solid part we ever see is when she finds pieces of papers with MaRIo scribbled on them and unreadable text on nearly everything. It created a tense atmosphere for the scene as if the apartment was telling her to leave as a warning. Of course, the part where she plays through barring stages once turning on the game did a proper job showing something wasn’t right. If anyone guessed the story goes downhill at this point, then you were right. In fact, the author literally uses the same mold from the last two CPs where it begins shrouded in a mystery then ends in a dumb way. That marks the first strike because literally there is a lack of creativity thanks to using a reskinned plot. We also get reintroduced to this Empire in the last tale from the text in the game and how she would become a part of it soon. You got to love the vagueness of who or what the Empire is as not one time was the entity ever explained. It is obvious I will talk about this after the final part because so far, the author has done a terrible job explaining the supposed antagonist twice. Now, the climax wasn’t as terribly written compared to the story’s predecessors but there clearly are inconsistencies that don’t make sense. Once she collects three mushroom cards at the end of each stage, it leads to another scene. Here the game shows Mario’s sprite with Birdo's head becoming enlarged and then one of the mushroom cards turns the plumber's head into a toad’s own. The climax becomes completely stupid where the scene changes to a tree that has two bodies hanging from nooses. She explains that Mario turns the mushroom cards into Toads which leads to gore being used to make it creepy. It is like the writer learned nothing from the previous CPs and continues to use the same tactic. The Plumber kills the toads by ripping their heads off and places them on the bodies hanging from the tree. That is then followed by a larger toad ripping his head off and giving it to Mario just as a girl appears on the screen. The CP receives a second strike because resorting to gore to make up for the lack of compelling storytelling is not a good technique. A campfire tale doesn’t need gore or blood to make it terrifying as seen by Yuber Neclod’s Metroid II: Secret Worlds. The reason these CPs are always brought up is they didn’t need blood most of the time. Even Friday the 13th NES from L.W. Sulton — despite having blood use in the story — did this enough to not make the story cringy. We now come to the third strike since this Empire was never explained as to why they were causing havoc to Moron #83. Here is when her friend’s father in the game mentioned that he offered his children to the Empire to become a part of them. It’s like the CP can’t decide who the antagonist was because at this point, I’m confused. Why is it now rather than in MaRIo II that the Father character resurfaces? I could ask endless questions about this guy, but you need more than he simply wanted to join to make his end game interesting. That now leads to this other question… Who the hell is the Empire?! The trilogy never explains what this entity is aside from being angry toads that want their torn heads placed on another. Not even hints were added as to why they wanted to take over. Just when you think the story couldn’t get any dumber it then throws a twist at the end. It turns out the female friend was actually Moron #83 the whole time. After dealing with the supernatural moments at the apartment, the friend rushes back to the mental institution. Just as the friend asked the receptionist to check on #83 thinking she killed herself, the nurse tells the woman no one died in the ward. The nurse then asks why she is out in the hall and wasn't contained inside her room. The CP tries to imply in the finale that the older sibling was “hallucinating” the events at the apartment. Let me get this straight the arc of the MaRIo trilogy expects the readers to believe that #83 went insane. In the prequel, Moron #83 destroyed the second game so how are the supernatural elements transferred over to SMB3. The plot once again can’t decide whether she hallucinated, or the MaRIo 3 cartridge was haunted. That has marked the fourth strike so far as this unnecessary sequel only makes the Trilogy look worse. There is another thing to bring up and where in MaRIo II was the third game hinted. The only thing number 83 explains is she thought a mistake was made from destroying the cartridge of the second game. Not a single moment was ever explained or hinted that MaRIo III was in the collection the brother gave to her. At least in the first tale the ending had a cliff hanger showing the second game being the next thing. While the second plot heavily implies that destroying the cart fixed all problems the older sister went through. That creates a massive plot hole because the ending from the last CP never implied #83 went insane. Now, if it was said in passing that there was a weird SMB3 cover among the collection then the next story would make sense. It means that this haunting continues thus making the woman go insane. Before anyone brings up a lack of imagination from me, consider this… Had the story given what was explained here that, would have provided me enough of a hint to realize why she lost her mind. That was MaRIo III and what a terrible way to end the three-part Creepypasta with confusion. We learned absolutely nothing for why things happened across the trilogy. The writing was literally produced similarly to the previous story that had no originality. The beginning was written to shroud the plot in mystery as to why Moron #83 went insane after playing these weird NES Titles. Her supposed friend then tries investigating why Moron from MaRIo II lost it. The last story explained how it involved supernatural elements for no reason. However, the second plot never divulged into why this was the case and the author wrote the arc as if destroying the cartridge solved the problem for good. Probably the biggest issue was how the Empire was never explained or why #83’s father wanted to sacrifice his family for them. The only decent thing to come out of this was explaining the woman’s apartment being a mess with MaRIo scribbled all over. However, the plot then attempts a twist at the end where it's Moron the entire time—That is not a proper plot twist but a genuine middle finger to the readers. The third entry is nearly a troll pasta because nothing is consistent in the previous arc and the ending proves that point. Unfortunately, there was a cliffhanger since that tells us MaRIo IV: Rise of EmPIre will eventually be a thing. Rating: 4.0/10 Terrible Source Geosheas-lost-episodes.fandom.com.
