A new edition of Horror Gaming is up as we continue the season of Halloween with a Metroid CP. Usually around this time is where I start ramping up the horror themed articles and reviews. That makes perfect sense since one; this is one of my favorite seasons and holiday and two, its fits the time of the year. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the occasion then to write reviews of gaming creepypastas. Now, it has been a while since we have done a Metroid one and in fact two years has passed when the last one was written. Similar to Zelda and Pokémon, this series of stories has always included a nice collection of solid Creepypastas. Sure, a terrible one will appear once in a while but, in my experience rarely does this happen. I already went over Secret Worlds and it’s probably the best one out there is next to Metroid: Mother?
The story is from 2013 and is written by a user named Roxie-Curtis on the Some Ordinary Gamers site. When these gaming creepypasta come from the early 2010s it usually never ends well. Even though this does not come from Creepypasta wikia however, it still won’t mean the pastas are better. So far, every CP I reviewed from the early 2010s usually ends up with a crappy rating. Of course, there are some exceptions as seen from The Theater but overall, it is just cheap writing in most cases. The theme is about a girl who remembers playing Super Metroid fondly when she was younger. Feeling nostalgic, she goes to her parent’s house to retrieve her old games to relive childhood memories. However, the game starts acting weird to the point none of these things were supposed to happen. Is something horrible lurking behind the scenes causing this copy to act up? Or is this just a series of coincidental glitches and age getting to the cartridge? Super Metroid Creepypasta review

A new edition of Horror Gaming is up, and we check an old Mario Creepypasta from several years ago. Another Summer has gone by, and now we enter the Autumn and Halloween seasons. The beauty of Fall is there are lush colors of the leaves that turn into their orange, red and brown textures. While Summer is known for its hot days and beach retreats, Autumn brings a more relaxing time with its scenery. The thing about the Fall season though is it has Halloween and Thanksgiving which are better holidays compared to the Fourth of July. Don’t get me wrong I love the BBQs and enjoy sipping on apple cider while lounging near a pool. However, nothing beats a cool brisk late afternoon seeing different colored leaves and Jack O lanterns on an Autumn day. Even sipping a cold apple cider during this season and sitting on a porch has me dream about the cool late afternoons.
After the announcement of Super Mario 3D All Stars, I have a horror story review involving the Plumber’s first 3D outing. It’s about a bad experience gone wrong for a couple regarding a copy of SM64. It’s not the first time I went over an SM64 CP but after the last three involving the Plumber we know this never ends well. Between the badly written Sonic and Mega Man stories, the Marios fall into the same area. Even Pokémon manages its quality for these types of stories, despite the occasionally terrible CP coming out. You can’t just call it after a game's name and insert some edgy subtitle because that sounded “kewl”. Sometimes a simple thing like Secret Worlds or even an original name of the story is better than sounding edgy in a cheap manner. So how will the guy and his girlfriend get through the night with a classic? Super Mario 64: Damned Creepypasta Review |
