Welcome to a new edition of Sacred Walk Through and the countdown to Christmas continues with a walkthrough of Hyrule’s Christmas DX. Hyrule's Christmas is one of the few holiday special adventures featured on Zelda Classic. Normally, not that many users put together a theme based on this holiday when considering the Zelda lore. I do find the concept enjoyable and funny at times when Halloween or Christmas doesn't exist in these verses. Next thing these creators will do is dress Link and Zelda up Santa and Mrs. Claus while Ganon will take the role of Krampus. I would not put it passed them to make a quest like that when other Mod communities have done so. There are even Doom versions of a Christmas Carol and Jingle all the Way. Part 1: The Misadventure of Myra Getting Started You begin the game in Myra's house within her bedroom so exit the room and walk past the table. Enter the next room to get twenty rupees so grab the gem and exit the house. Walk to the shop near the shack on the west part of the village. Go into the shack to get the fire bag (the lantern) and move south to the Thief's shop to pick up some stuff we will need. Purchase the Icicle which is the sword of this game, the bombs and the donut (the meat). Walk back outside and in the upper left corner of the same screen stab the bush to get ten rupees. Gather Heart Containers Heart Container #1 The next things we need to get are three full heart containers so first head to the library. Inside give the guard the donut you purchased and move up to the next screen. Behind the long bookshelf is a heart container hiding on right side. Before you head out, go to the room left of the long bookshelf. Behind the middle bookshelf is five rupees so grab it and leave. Heart Container 2 Now go to Knil's House south of the Village and walk behind his place to the back. The post will already be hammered down and on top of the hill at the end will be a heart Container. Heart Container #3 To get the third heart container head back to the north entrance of the Village where a white dark nut stands guard. In front of it towards the left is a bush so stab the thing to reveal the container. Getting the Boomerang and Fifty Rupees Boomerang The last thing we need to get is the boomerang so head to the east exit of the town. The guard here will attack but ignore him unless he gets close and just stab the bush near the fallen NPC. Underneath is the boomerang so with all the items we collected its now time tackle the dungeons. Fifty Rupees Before entering any of the dungeons, walk outside the east entrance to the village. At the bottom is fifty rupees in a single purple gem. Don't walk any further or the guards will kill you as that is the only thing we need to collect here. Entering the Dungeons Savage For the next part of the game lets the players pick which level to start with as this adventure is nonlinear. The dungeon you should go to first is the Savage and it's located in the farm shack near Myra's House to the right. Enter the portal and walk to the left room from the entrance and kill the Mochtroid (fake Metroid). The creature's defeat nets the player a hammer which we will need to defeat the guardian monster. From the center entrance head to bottom right of the screen to grab the map. Return to the center room and this time walk to the left bottom of the screen (dark room with the map) and ignore the Wall Master. Keep moving down until you reach a lit room as another Mochtroid is waiting. Killing the thing will give you a Master key. There is a small key still needed for a lock so from the center room move towards the top right side of the screen. At the end of the dungeon's eastern section is a Mochtroid (passed the dark room) and once again killing this creature give Myra the small key. Don't forget to grab the twenty rupees that you saw before at the bottom. From the portal walk into the bottom part of the screen on the right side and get it. With the hammer and keys retrieved, walk north of the portal to the right side of the top screen. Stab the pot to reveal a single heart piece and get to the other side of the room to unlock the block. The next area has a black Poe but leave the ghost alone and go to the boss room. Ignore the Mochtroids if you want as it's not required for us to take them out to reach the guardian monster. Walk into the Pokéball and the boss is a giant fairy. To beat the sprite, use the hammer on both torches to destroy them (hit the one on the left first.) Also, watch out for the skull rocks that shoot fire balls at the bottom. Several flying enemies will appear, and the objective is to destroy them all. Another group of flying enemies will appear and defeat these again, and that should take care of the fairy. Claim the sphere tool (Bow and Arrow) and return back to the town. Heart Container #4 With the Hammer obtained, use it on a brown rock one screen below Myra's House. Move to the next area from where the rock was and the heart will be yours. Apathetic For the next two dungeons, I don't have a preference to the one that needs completing the most. Honestly, I would pick Apathetic as you get the Power Bracelet and the Wand. You can find the ice dungeon in the shop that sells the Red Tunic. Walk inside and enter the square space with the wind blowing from the wall. The portal will be in the center bottom as a blue sphere. Once inside this level, take the door on the right bottom and head straight down until reaching an area to get the map. Back track to where you came from the door and walk to the corridor on your right. Here step on the switch to open the path to the Guardian monster. From there head straight down and the Power Bracelet is waiting. Return to the room with the portal and this time take the left door. Now in this corridor walk left from the door into a room with a mimic chest creature. Kill the thing and grab the small key. Go back to the hall and walk down the path as we will come to a left entrance. Move into the next room and a blue mimic chest wanders around. Take it out to receive the master key. Go back to the corridor and move south and keep walking around the path until you reach the pushed down blocks to the next section. You will appear in an ice floor room spanning three screens so walk west and the boss' area is at the end. Once again ignore the Mochtroids in this room and head for the GameCube. A massive slug will be our guardian monster this time. Look for a yellow thing squirming around in the indents within the ground. The only attack the slug does is sending three boulders stumbling down. Hit the yellow thing three times, and the slug will come out of its shell. A boulder will appear in front of it so push the rock into the slug to cause damage. The monster also summons shell like creatures but try to ignore them as you don't have to kill any to attack the yellow thing. Repeat the process a second time to defeat the boss and receive a black square object which acts like the wand. Return back to the portal. The next part we will finish the last two dungeons of this quest.
